Thanks for the reminder, Doofy. I've been buying the $1.99 deals, but there are a couple of things on my Wish List that I could use it for.
By the way, downloaded Arcade Fire - The Suburbs. First listen? Meh. There has been so much to-do over them - this is my first album. Maybe I'll like it better after more time with it.
I did get Sarah Bareilles' Kaleidoscope Heart - like that one. I'm not overly impressed with the lyrics, but I do like the sound.
Felt good spending three bucks on three albums. Limited selection, but I've been excited to jump into the Roots's new one, one of the few mainstream rap groups worth listening to in this middle class white boy's opinion. I got Jack Johnson as well, somewhat shamefaced as I am, but when pop music is what you want, few deliver with more suave. That and the Joseph Arthur/Ben Harper one - more curious than expectant on that one.
Thru the end of January, Amazon has more than 1000 download albums for $5 each here. I did a quick look and found several I wanted, including the new Old 97's that eMu never got.
Today's deal of the day is Brothers by the Black Keys for $3.99. Finally picked that one up.
Today it's Tapes n' Tapes brand new album Outside. Just downloaded it and so far it sounds more like their first album than their so so second album. Here's hopin'!
I needed a new set of over-ear headphones for the gym, and the sound on these is the best I've ever heard for a low-end set of headphones...currently $11! How well will they hold up, we will see. The cord has a textile covering, perhaps that will help.
@Doofy, I had an earlier incarnation of those headphones and they sustained an enormous amount of abuse and held up very well. The only reason I set them aside is when I started using my iPhone as my primary portable player (headphone jack didn't fit the 1st gen iPhone).
Picked that up and also yesterday's special that's still $3.99 - Hellogoodbye's Would It Kill You? Apparently they recently morphed into a damn fine indie pop band.
@doofy - I ordered this on vinyl, with a download code. But naturally it is not in my mailbox today, and I am really tempted to spend $4 to enjoy it now.
Anybody listen to the Tennis Album? eMu had it on Song of the Day, a likable little tune but I am not sure I want the whole album.
Oh god I was reading stuff from that idiot and almost linked to his account from here. But how can you find fault with someone who owns albums from Mozart, Beethoven, Led Zeppelin AND The Who?
Just picked up the Sam Cooke, which is still $3.99, and considering the Vanderslice because I liked the samples.
I assume that's supposed to be a joke about the track pricing, but who knows? Of course on iTunes, the majority of comments regarding the Free Track of the Week are, "I never heard of this band, how about some good music?" So this doofus is just carrying that tradition over to Amazon.

Still a day left!

Now, here's what else I got:
3 discs, $16.52...I paid $15 a week or so ago.

In fact, I feel sorry for him regardless, because if he's trying to be funny he's even sadder than if he's serious.
