Bobby Hutcherson & Cedar Walton - Little B's Poem with David Williams and Eddie Marshall.
David's the only one alive these days. My first introduction to Little B's Poem was thru Doug & Jean Carn from the Infant Eyes album I played incessantly beginning in '71. The song was written by Hutcherson for his son, Barry, in '65.
Chicago poet avery r young is the vocalist. He really whipped up the crowd with this at the Jazz Fest this year - in a performance without Nicole, regretfully
"Maria Faust (1979) is Estonian saxophone player and composer living in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mostly known in the field of third stream jazz, modern big band music, improvised music and other more alternative music styles." https://barefootrecords.bandcamp.com/

Found this in my local library, really good English folk music
Check out that aerial shot of the infamous "S-curve" on Lake Shore Drive. (It still curves, but not that much!) The music can be had here: https://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Sound-Wilbur-Johnny-Griffin/dp/B008FTA49K
I heard Joan Armatrading on the radio a few days ago, reminding me to listen to some of her albums.I'd forgotten how good a vocalist/musician she is!
2001 - The National 2004 - Cherry Tree
2005 - Alligator 2007 - Mistaken For Strangers
Your occasional reminder that this and other albums on the great Horace Tapscott's Nimbus West label are available for sale or streaming at Bandcamp
I went to college with the mom of one of the guys in this band, called "Z", so everybody should check it out
