thanks to selfrisin' for the tip on Red Weather - really loving this - I thought maybe the stereo seperation might bug me in headphones, but it just sounds great.

glad you like it amclark. Akarma did a good job with this one; Mr. Stephens himself gave it full approval.
thom, I grabbed my copy towards the end of 2008 as the result of some best-of-year mentions somewhere - I think I followed through originally from the emu board. I know I picked it out as a year-end favorite.
@kargatron - Seems it was end of '08 for me, too. I remember being interested in it enough to stick it on my SFL, but don't remember hitting the d/l button. Happens way too often.
@Craig - Maybe not, but a number of us are putting that theory to the test these days.
Whatever classical music they're piping in at Panera Bread this morning. Sounds like maybe they are rocking some Beethoven. As one who spends half my life in coffeeshops w/ laptop, I have come to favor Panera over Starbux, which these days mostly plays music from whatever CDs they are pushing. (They are all over "He & She" at the moment.) Plus the wifi is free.
Later I will listen to this, which I picked up with my new Guvera credits this week. Personnel include Charlie Haden (on electric bass?), Billy Higgins, and Frank Lowe.
Wow, there was a Treat Her Right shout-out earlier in this thread. I didn't see that one coming. I'm really missing all the great music Mark Sandman would've made had he lived longer.

Travellers in Space and Time by The Apples In Stereo
This album is like popping two benadryls with an espresso chaser and then sitting in the park, basking in the sun with a ballon for a head.

Running High by Poirier
Damn. If you are not listening to this you should be. Big, fat, dirty beat and mind melting riddims. Probably his best release yet.
@Craig - Maybe not, but a number of us are putting that theory to the test these days.

LCD Soundsystem - s/t
I really should listen to this album more often.

@Craig - There's part of me that doesn't want to like LCD Soundsystem, but I just can't help it.
