Anyone else notice all the weird pricing going on at Amazon lately? A bunch of albums are less than 50 cents (some as low as a penny). That Blue Note sale for $3.68 seems to have spread to some classic rock albums (Country Life by Roxy Music and The Man Who Sold The World by David Bowie are 2 I noticed). Just click through the charts and you'll see what I mean.
Quoting Amazon: Today's special: the 17-song soundtrack to Babylon Central, a film by Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation, available exclusively at Amazon MP3.
Hmm, I was going to suggest people should check out the Legacy Edition on eMu, but it looks like it's gone. Too bad, cause it was over 50 tracks for 12nps.
I actually regret grabbing the Legacy edition for 12. Not because of the music itself, but because of all the repeats, and that I have no other Cash. I probably should have ignored it and started with the Sun sides.
@kargatron - I do wish the tracks were easier to simply set up a playlist to match the original release. But I'm cool with the unedited concert experience. Most people probably would prefer the regular edition.
For to day we've got the latest from Teenage Fanclub for only $2.99:
I've been meaning to revisit this band for like a decade. Now seems like a good idea.
Today's deal is a $3 coupon good for one of 35 albums. I got The Bad Plus album but had dithered over Dungen but opted to wait on it in the hopes eMusic carries it.
Finally pulled the trigger on my Amie/Amazon credit. Prompted by the new vibes thread on the eMu messboard, I checked Milt Jackson's Sunflower. All tracks are available at 0.99 (despite album price of 9.99). And the CD is only 6.99...might have just added that on to my next Amazon order, if I'd noticed it before buying the mp3s.
Well, only about 7 weeks before Black Friday and Cyber-Monday deals on Amazon. Something to look forward to in this valley of dearth. Got some good deals last year, mostly in hard discs.
Today's MP3 deal is Merle Haggard's I Am What I Am for $2.99 link.
I don't often pay attention to that feature at the top of the MP3 page that says MP3 Albums Under $4.99 but I looked today and was surprised by a few albums I've already bought from the monthly $5 offers in the past going for like $3.68 so it might be worthwhile to check more often - they've still got that Pavarotti 75th Birthday album, 7+ hours, for $2.99 which I got a while ago.
Is there an rss feed of Amazon's daily deal or other notable cheapies? I know there's twitter, but I like consolidating in Google Reader when possible.
Oh, nm, public twitter accounts can be seen in Reader.

Good quirky pop that's all over the place.
Anyway,
Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison only $3.99 today. I'll need to figure out how to link next time.
FYI - To link the code is {url=web address goes here}Album title, or whatever{/url}
Just replace the { and } with [ and ].

If you don't have Folsom, grab it now.

I ended up getting it on Amazon anyway. Good call Elwoodlicious!

Bonobo - Black Sands
Only $2.99. The singles appeared on Amie, but the full album never did.
Track #6 is very nice.
